Now on show at Gressenhall Farm and Workshouse Museum, Norfolk until 2nd November 2025. Through the Microscope celebrates the 400th anniversary of the coining of the term microscope and explores the links between microscopy and the environmental challenges and changes in Norfolk.
This exhibition is the first of our artists in residency at the museum and the John Innes Centre, with support from the Centre for Microbial Interactions. The show features fabulous historical books and microscopes from the archives of the John Innes Institute and Norfolk Museum Services and my own great grandfather's microscope and slide collection.
I have loved conceiving and creating this show with my Edible East colleagues, Tara Sampy and Nik Thomson.
The project is supported with public money from the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
